The weather seems to be cooperating as the forecast doesn’t look as bad as it did. If for some reason the weather wouldn’t permit us to go to the playground, we will have our party in the classroom. Our parties are going to begin right at 9Am and 1PM. Please send in a beach towel
with your kiddo for a little beach party followed by our playground trip (no bathing suits). I am looking forward to a day of celebrating all our hard work this year! The kids have been counting down for this trip and I‘m keeping my fingers crossed that the weather works in our favor. Please let me know if you have any questions!!

http://signup.com/go/kOOEebX Due to the bad weather yesterday and the forecast expected tomorrow, our 100th day is being rescheduled for Monday. I have a lot of STEM activities to do that require time for the kiddos to plan and design and I didn't want to have rush through this. Thank you for all of the donations thus far, we are still in need of solo cups if you are willing and able!
Please remember that we are an allergy aware classroom so our Valentine must be free from any candy or food. Stickers, pencils, and non-edible treats are great for everyone! Thanks for your help in making room 8 a safe place for all the kiddos! Next week I will be sending home a link to sign up for conferences in March. I will post this link on the blog as well as send it via REMIND. Please let me know if you have any questions. The 100th day of school is right around the corner! Regardless of any snow cancellations that could occur between now and then, Room 8 is going to celebrate the 100th day on February 6th. Looking ahead, our classroom will be in need of some 100 day of school items. If you are able to donate any of the following items, that would be greatly appreciated!!
-mini marshmallows (Jet Puffed and Giant brand are safe for everyone- WE WILL NOT BE EATING THESE) -toothpicks -16 oz solo cups I have been completely amazed with the different STEM projects that continue to come into the classroom! WOW! Their is a level of excitement in the students that is so refreshing to witness! The discussions, confidence, and pride they exhibit is more than I had anticipated! Keep up the wonderful work, I am so excited about what I am seeing and the kids are too! I wish you could hear all of the oohs & ahhs when projects are first shared, it is really something! Thank you! Lastly, I will be out of the classroom February 7, 8, and 9th. Please make sure to notify the office directly with any transportations changes, or pertinent information. Hand written notes for the substitute will also be helpful to make sure information gets where it needs to. As you start to prepare for Valentines Day, we currently have 18 morning and 15 afternoon kindergarteners. Stay tuned for a list of names!! |
